Transita is a fare comparison service for intercity road travel in Nigeria. This policy explains what we collect when you use it, why, and what you can ask us to do about it.

1. Who we are

Transita is operated by RouteHunt (RC 1766960). Where this policy says "we" or "us", it means RouteHunt trading as Transita. You can reach us about anything in this policy at hello@axon.sale.

2. What this site does

We publish the departures and fares of independent transport operators so you can compare them. We do not sell tickets and we do not take payments: when you decide on a trip, you book it with the operator. That means we do not hold your booking, your seat, your passenger details or your card details, because none of them ever reach us.

3. What we collect

What you give us

Only through the forms on this site, and only what the form asks for:

Advertising enquiries — your company, your name, email address, phone number, website, what you are interested in, the routes or pages you want to appear on, your budget, the ad format, any creative you upload or link to, and your message.
Operator listing enquiries — your company, your name, email address, phone number, website, whether your fares are published online, how many terminals you run, your main routes, and your message.
Guide downloads — your first name, last name and email address.

What we record automatically

The pages you visit and the searches you run, so we know which routes people are looking for.
The page you were on when you submitted a form, so we know which part of the site brought you.
Your IP address, browser and device type, collected by the analytics services named below.

4. Why we use it

To reply to you. If you send an enquiry, we use your details to answer it.
To run the site - showing results, remembering your search, keeping the service working.
To understand which routes and pages people use, so we know what to improve and what an advertising slot is worth.
To send you the guide you asked for, and news you have agreed to receive. You can unsubscribe from any of it at any time.

We rely on your consent where you gave us your details or accepted cookies, and on our legitimate interest in running and improving the service for the rest. We do not sell your personal data.

5. Who else sees it

We use these providers, and your data passes through them for the purposes described:

Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager — how the site is used.
Google Maps — the map on the results page.
Meta Pixel — measuring our advertising.
OneSignal — browser notifications, if you allow them.
Drip — sending the guide and any email you subscribed to.
Our hosting provider — storing the site and its database.

Several of these are based outside Nigeria, so your information may be processed abroad. We will also disclose information where the law requires it.

Transport operators listed on this site do not receive your personal data from us. If you contact an operator after comparing fares here, whatever you tell them is between you and them.

6. Cookies

This site sets cookies to keep the service working and, through the services above, to measure how it is used and how our advertising performs. Your browser can block or delete cookies; the site will still work, but some things may not be remembered between visits.

7. How long we keep it

Enquiries are kept while we are dealing with them and for as long afterwards as we may reasonably need them for our records. Analytics data is kept for the retention period set in the provider. Ask us to delete your details and we will, unless we are required to keep them.

8. Your rights

Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 you can ask us to show you the personal data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, stop using it for a particular purpose, or send it to you in a portable form. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time.

Email hello@axon.sale and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with how we have handled it, you can complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.

9. Children

This site is not directed at children under 18 and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has sent us information, tell us and we will remove it.

10. Changes

If we change this policy we will change the date at the top. Material changes will be announced on the site.
